White Gold Corp. has unveiled its exploration plans for 2024, marking the commencement of an ambitious program across its properties in Yukon’s renowned White Gold District. The company aims to conduct extensive diamond drilling at key targets while advancing surveys to uncover new prospects rich in gold and copper-molybdenum.
Situated approximately 95 kilometers (59 miles) south of Dawson City, White Gold Corp.’s flagship property spans a vast 350,000 hectares (864,869 acres), covering nearly 40% of the district. Noteworthy deposits on their properties include the Golden Saddle, Arc, and Ryan’s Surprise on the White Gold property, alongside the VG deposit on the adjacent QV property. These collectively host 16.11 million metric tons of indicated resources averaging 2.23 grams per metric ton (1.15 million ounces) of gold, and 18.99 million metric tons of inferred resources averaging 1.54 g/t (942,400 ounces) of gold, according to the latest resource assessment.
Following financial backing secured from Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. in December to fund their exploration endeavors for the year, White Gold Corp. is eager to initiate their 2024 exploration campaign.

The program is strategically designed to evaluate multiple targets across the Betty and QV properties through diamond drilling.
David D’Onofrio, CEO of White Gold Corp., elaborated on the program’s focus, emphasizing the comprehensive review of geochemical, geophysical, and geological data across the district. This analysis has guided the selection of targets for the diamond drilling program, prioritizing new gold prospects while advancing work on copper-molybdenum porphyry targets to unlock the district’s mineral potential.
At the Betty property, this year’s program includes up to 1,600 meters of drilling across eight holes, with maiden diamond drilling planned at three high-priority targets: Black Betty, Betty White East, and Betty Ford West. Additionally, extensional drilling is targeted at Betty Ford.
Meanwhile, significant developments are also underway at the QV property, where a newly discovered 1,000-meter-long gold-in-soil anomaly has captured attention. Initial evaluations suggest similarities in geochemical signatures to nearby VG and Golden Saddle deposits. The program at QV involves 1,200 meters of drilling across four holes, complemented by ground surveys including soil sampling and VLF-EM geophysical surveying. Diamond drilling at the gold-in-soil anomaly is scheduled for later in the season.
“We are carrying out early season ground surveys at the QV property, including additional soil geochemistry sampling and VLF-EM surveying over the new gold-in-soil anomaly identified last year,” commented Brace. “The geochemical signature of this anomaly is quite encouraging, similar to that of the Golden Saddle and VG deposits.”
In addition to targeted exploration efforts, regional exploration activities are planned across several other properties. These will encompass geological mapping, prospecting, soil geochemistry surveys, ground magnetics, VLF-EM surveys, and lidar scanning to potentially identify future drilling targets.
“We anticipate an exciting year ahead as we continue to demonstrate the extensive gold mineralization potential within the White Gold District, and explore other mineral resources,” concluded D’Onofrio.
